I took a day trip to the mountains this fall to hike with a good friend and her two daughters. We picked a trail in Fraser, Colorado called the Creekside Trail. It’s a fairly flat but technical trail that follows the St. Luis Creek. I was lucky enough to capture some of the beauty we saw with my phone’s camera.
This image shows Byers Peak in the distance. The peak is framed with dark pine trees in the mid-ground. Golden aspens and other fall foliage sparkle in the sunlit foreground.
The small town of Fraser is just a few miles north of Winter Park ski resort in Colorado. There are so many trails to explore in that area. I hope you have a chance to give this trail a try – or try a new trail or revisit an old favorite trail in your own neck of the woods.
